Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DO I CHOOSE MY ADVENTURE?

Click the "Book Now" button, check availability & choose the date. Tours begin 5/20/23! Adventure dates that are available will have a dot under the day. If there is no dot, that day is not available.

IS THERE PHONE OR INTERNET SERVICE AT THE CAMPSITE?

This is a Mountain experience, so the short answer is no. However, in the event of an emergency, I will have a satellite communication device at all times.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Montana weather is very unpredictable & temperatures can drop below freezing at night. I advise to bring both light and medium base layers, a warm coat, rain gear, hat & gloves, & a good pair of hiking shoes. If your hiking shoes are new, start walking in them & work up to several miles before your trip. Bring your own toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant). To help protect the environment, other environmentally friendly soaps will be provided (hand soap, shampoo, conditioner).

WILL WE BE CAMPING BY OURSELVES?

I want you to have your own unique experience so yes, but I will be in camp for preparing meals & I will be guiding all the adventures. I will also be staying nearby in case you need anything, communicating via 2-way radio.

DO I NEED TO BRING BEAR SPRAY?

Bear spray will be provided & a lesson will be given on how to properly use it.

IF I CHOOSE TO HIKE, HOW FAR WILL I BE HIKING?

Depends on the adventure you choose and your physical fitness. I have hikes for most fitness levels. The shortest alpine lake hike is approximately 1 mile round trip. The longest hikes are 7-14 miles round trip.
